Alejandra Janus is a German-Mexican artist with a diverse educational background. She initially studied painting, graphics, and illustration at the University Freie Kunstschule Stuttgart. Her artistic journey then led her to explore scenography in film and theater through collaborations with the Film Academy Ludwigsburg and the University of Design in Karlsruhe, starting in 2014.
Since 2018, Alejandra has been pursuing her studies in media art at the Univercity of Arts & Design in Karlsruhe. In her current academic pursuits, she focuses on decolonial contexts, grappling with the complexities of restitution issues. Additionally, she delves into thought-provoking topics such as transhumanism, consciousness, and the role and responsibility of art in an era where humanity seeks to find the divine within the machines.
Alejandra Janus es una artista germano-mexicana con una formación educativa diversa. Inicialmente, estudió pintura, gráficos e ilustración en la Universidad Freie Kunstschule Stuttgart. Su trayectoria artística la llevó a explorar la escenografía en cine y teatro a través de colaboraciones con la Film Academy Ludwigsburg y la Universidad de Arte y Diseño en Karlsruhe, desde el año 2014.
Desde 2018, Alejandra ha estado estudiando mediart en la Universidad de Arte y Diseño en Karlsruhe. En sus estudios actuales, se enfoca en contextos decoloniales, enfrentándose a las complejidades de las cuestiones de restitución. Además, profundiza en temas provocativos como el transhumanismo, la conciencia y el papel y la responsabilidad del arte en una era en la que la humanidad busca encontrar lo divino en dentro de las máquinas.
